2017 Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition Announced

The Art Association of Oswego is now accepting entries for the 20th Annual Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition. Entry in this exhibition, which is sponsored by Exelon Generation, is open to all artists 18 years of age and older, living or working in New York State over the last 2 years.

Eligible artwork must have been completed in 2016 or 2017. Acceptable media include: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, ceramics, digital media and all fine craft. The purpose of the exhibition is to offer a sampling of artwork currently being produced in New York State.

The juror for this year’s exhibition will be William DeForest III. Mr. DeForest is a fine artist and graphic designer who resides in Scriba, NY. He is a graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at SUNY Oswego. He has earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University in Printmaking and Drawing and has also earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in and Medical Illustration & Computer Graphics. He has taught at Ithaca College and SUNY Oswego. He currently works at Bryant & Stratton’s Syracuse North Campus where he is the Program Coordinator for Design.
