The menu is set and the beer’s chilling in preparation for the Child Advocacy Center’s (CAC) 5rd Annual Chicken Wing Fest!

To be held Friday, February 12 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Lake Ontario Event & Conference Center, East First Street in Oswego adjacent to the Best Western Hotel, the CAC’s Wing Fest features chicken wings from a variety of Oswego County’s favorite eateries. Participants to date include: Canale’s Restaurant, Greene’s Ale House, Jimmie James BBQ, The Press Box, Malone’s Irish Hideaway, GJP Oswego, Kristen’s Kitchen at Battle Island, Lighthouse Lanes, GS Steamer’s, Bistro 197, and Alex’s on the Water.

The restaurants will compete for the CAC’s coveted Golden Chicken Trophy for the best tasting chicken wing as they offer samples of a traditional flavor chicken wing as well as their signature chicken wing. Eagle Beverage will also be on hand to offer samples of micro-brews. Additionally, Singer / Songwriter John McConnell’s fun and unique style will provide the entertainment with a live performance that features several of his own compositions.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC, a non-profit organization that works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, medical providers, mental health providers, and victim advocacy professionals in Oswego County to protect and serve child victims of sexual and physical abuse. In 2015, the CAC served more than 450 children and families in Oswego County. The CAC’s main office is located at 301 Beech Street in Fulton; there is also a satellite office at 4822 Salina Street in Pulaski.
