AAO`s Annual Members` Exhibition, Postcard Salon fundraiser

     The Art Association of Oswego (AAO) announces the opening of its Annual Members Exhibition. The show will be held in the Timothy McHenry Gallery at the Oswego Civic Arts Center, and will open with a reception from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, July 20.

     Any artists who are members of the Art Association or who become new members may exhibit artwork. Prizes will be awarded. The Best of Show award will be an offer of a solo exhibition at the AAO for the following year.

     In conjunction with the Members' Exhibition, The Art Association will also be holding a "Postcard Salon" fundraiser. Postcard-sized art (4"x 6" one-of-a-kind artwork in any media) will be displayed for viewing and sale in the Jo Hyse Gallery during the Members' Show opening reception. Each postcard will be priced at $10 – half of the purchase price will go to the artist and half will go to the Art Association. Unlike work in the members' show, the postcards will be sold directly off the wall and can be taken home that night.

     As always, these events are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

     The arts center is located at the northernmost end of East Fourth Street, in Oswego. Regular gallery hours are from 2-5 p.m. on weekends or by appointment; there will be extended hours during Harborfest. The Members Exhibition will continue until Sunday, Aug. 18.
