Adopt a Pet Today: Lip, She Wants A New Name

Please adopt Lip so she can change her name! Maybe Libby?

Lip has a very unusual story . . . She was found outside, hungry and in pain with what looked like a bite injury to her mouth. The vet diagnosed healing ulcers in her mouth and lips (hence the name), apparently caused by a virus. She was given good care and is now all healed and healthy and ready for a forever home!

She's about five years old, spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. She is a good cat and loves to sit in laps to be petted. She gets along with her three doggie foster siblings and other cats. Although she had apparently been outside for a while, she has no interest in going back out. And who could blame her?

If you have enough lap for this all-around good cat, please email us anytime at [email protected] or call us during business hours at 315-207-1070. You can download an Adoption Application from our website and email that to [email protected] And isn’t she just the prettiest thing?

On a more canine note, come celebrate the dogs of summer at Paws on the Patio, on Sunday, July 9th from 2 to 6pm at Gibby O’Connor’s Irish Pub, 8 West Second Street, Oswego. There will be music, food, raffles and treats for your dog! All proceeds will benefit the Oswego County Humane Society to help animals in need in our community.

The Oswego County Humane Society provides spay/neuter services and assistance, fostering and adoption of animals in urgent need, humane education programs, and information and referrals to animal lovers throughout Oswego County.
