Excitement is building for one of Oswego’s most anticipated events, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Oswego County Annual Wing Fest. Hosted by the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, East First Street in Oswego, the CAC Wing Fest gets underway this Friday, February 9, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. with an Attitude Adjustment Hour followed by the main event beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The CAC Wing Fest features chicken wings from a variety of local favorite eateries: Alex’s on the Water, Chester’s, Garafolo’s, La Parilla, Malone’s Irish Hideaway, Muskie’s, Sky Armory, and Steamer’s. Each restaurant will offer samples of their signature and traditional chicken wings as they compete for the CAC’s Golden Chicken Trophy. Attendees with vote for their favorite wings and determine who will receive the title of Oswego County’s “Best Tasting Wings.” A panel of local celebrity judges will also offer up titles for Best Signature and Best Traditional Wings.

Gary Carpentier, a recent contestant on NBC's The Voice, Laura Serway and Cindy Seymour from Laci’s Tapas Bar, Ken Sheldon, Fulton Police Department, and Rocky Powers, long time Wing Fest judge, will be the celebrity judges for the event.

In addition to the delectable selection of chicken wings, Eagle Beverage will be offering samples of a variety of brews and wine. Entertainment for the evening will be McConnell, Caruso, and Carpentier.

“Everything we do at the CAC is in the best interest of children that have been sexually or physically abused,” said CAC Executive Director Karrie Damm. “The work that we do is vital to the health and well-being of our communities. Wing Fest helps provide us with much needed funds that help with the costs of medical examinations and therapy sessions that put these children on the road to recovery. We greatly appreciate the support Wing Fest has received over the years from both the vendors and the hundreds of community members that attend.”

“I invite everyone in our community to join us for another amazing night of delicious chicken wings, cold brews, fun raffles, and good times with your friends. The CAC Wing Fest is a great event for a great cause, ending child abuse in Oswego County!”
