The Foundry’s chef, Chris Coe, will be serving green apple smoked Gouda macaroni and cheese with bacon, vegetable, and tossed salad. Members of the Advisory Board will provide desserts and beverages. The dinner will be at the Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service, 73 West Second Street, in Oswego.
Chef Coe is new to the Foundry but not to the area, having grown up in the Fulton and Oswego area. Starting out washing dishes at the Lock Restaurant at the age of 16, he learned his craft on the job at such area establishments as Springside at Seneca Hill, Oswego Country Club, Beaver Meadows Country Club, and the Red Brick Pub.
The Guest Chef Dinners are organized by the Advisory Board and offered to the community to raise funds for fresh-cooked meals in both Fulton and Oswego and other services that are provided to individuals and families in need throughout Oswego County. There is ample parking and the building is fully accessible. Dinners may be enjoyed in our dining room or carried out.
The Foundry, as it's known locally, is owned and operated by the Ciappa family, lifelong Oswego residents who have generations of experience in the food and special events business. They and their staff are known for critically acclaimed food and for handling each event with professionalism, care, and neighborly warmth that is a trademark of this close-knit family. They specialize in public and private gatherings including weddings, receptions, fundraisers, public concerts, and other special events.
Future Guest Chef Dinners this year will be provided through the generosity of La Parilla on June 12, Zonta Club of Oswego on September 11, the Press Box on October TBA, and Canale’s Restaurant on November 13.
