Fulton Mayor Ronald Woodward has proclaimed the Fulton Jazz Festival, (FJF), Aug. 12-13, “Fulton Jazz Weekend, ” said event co-chair, Joe Cortini.

In addition, the City of Fulton and the Tobacco Free Network of Central New York have partnered with the event to make it a “tobacco free” festival. The event is on the shore of Lake Neahtahwanta, behind the Fulton War Memorial on Route 3 and admission is free.

“New Orleans Cajun cuisine will be back this year from Blue Moon Grill,” Cortini said. “More traditional fare will be offered by Upper Landings and Kathy’s Cakes and Specialty Treats. So you can get whatever you’re craving— spicy or sweet—to go with the great lineup of performers we have on tap.

“The big bands are back this year surrounding headliner Jumaane Smith, lead trumpeter for internationally famous vocalist Michael Buble, who will be appearing Saturday night. In fact, during those two days, there will be more than 60 musicians from all across America in six different groups performing on the Fulton Savings Bank Stage.”
