Seasonal refreshments, live entertainment and tours of the senior apartment residence will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both days.
Staff will be available to talk about the unique combination of affordable housing, support services and personal assistance in a community featuring home-like apartments, where seniors know there is trained staff available 24 hours a day, seven days a week when they need assistance. Activities and transportation to scheduled appointments are included in a simple monthly rent. No entry fees or complicated equity buy-ins required. All in an elegant residence conveniently located in the City of Oswego.
“This event is an annual tradition for all of us here at Bishop’s Commons,” said Lindsay Erskine, care coordinator. “Our residents look forward to the opportunity to show off their home to friends and visitors. This is a great chance for those who are interested to come and see what Bishop’s Commons offers, visit with our staff and residents and take an opportunity to relax a bit during the holidays and enjoy some music and refreshments.”
Erskine noted that she and other staff would be available to discuss how affordable enriched housing really can be for couples or individuals. “Most people are surprised to learn how affordable and beneficial a move to Bishop’s Commons can be, especially when we comparing their current cost of living in a home or other apartment. Not to mention or great location which is easily accessible to our community.”
