But is it too little, too late? It could appear that the city has waited until the eleventh hour, leaving any serious restoration bidder with very little time to actually repair the roof before winter sets in. Be that as it may, here are the requirements for making a purchase offer.

All purchase offers must be submitted by Tuesday, September 8th. Building is Historic and is listed on the National Register which makes the building eligible for state and federal historic tax credits with approval from NYS Historic Preservation Office and National Parks Service.

Minimum Requirements For Purchase Offer:

If proposing to rehabilitate the building, buyer must provide evidence of financial capacity in the amount of $150,000 showing sufficient funds necessary to shore up the roof.

If proposing to demolish the building, buyer must provide evidence of financial capacity showing sufficient funds necessary to demolish the building.

Conceptual development plans with estimated time frame for the process and previous relevant development experiences required.

Pretty sure Tom Millar could have shored up the roof by now and be making slow headway toward reopening the building. That or the city could have actually done a single repair to the building since they took back ownership in 2010.
