Camp Foundations adds full-day option to its summer camp Lego Adventure Week

Written by

Camp Foundations, a summer day camp program through Grace and Glory Ministries, announced they are adding full-day options to its existing half-day options for the camp's third week, which is Lego Adventure Week.

"We heard about a week ago that the Oswego Alliance Church has canceled their Vacation Bible School program this summer," said Melody Williams, co-director of the camp. "We planned our Week 3 around their program, offering only half-day options for that week. As a result, we are now adding a full-day option for that week at a discounted price of $125, instead of the usual $135."
Parents now have two options for that week:
     1) Existing half-day option for $70, 12:45- 4:00 p.m.; or

     2) New full-day option for $125, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Camp Foundations is not just a summer camp, but it is also a fun alternative to day care with a wide-variety of things to do like sports, games, singing, dancing, skits and more. The mission of Camp Foundations is to serve the children and parents of Oswego and its surrounding areas by offering children a well-rounded Christian day camp program that provides opportunities to learn new skills, teach and demonstrate morals, safely play sports and games and take in fun camp experiences.
Some of the features the Camp Foundations facility offers are two age-appropriate playgrounds; a Snack Shack; a 40X60-foot outdoor pavilion; a military modeled obstacle course; multiple large meeting rooms; an archery range; a ga-ga ball court; video games; a volleyball court; clubhouses; fields for soccer and baseball; a basketball court; two game rooms; and a reptile exhibit.
Wednesdays are reserved for a field trip to Fair Haven State Park.
"We run for seven weeks this summer, from July 1 until Aug. 16," Williams said. "The kids are dropped off at 9 a.m. and picked up at 4 p.m., but we do offer extended care for parents who work for two hours before and after the camp day. You can sign up for just one week, or all seven."
Camp Foundations also offers significant discounts for families who cannot afford the full rate and there are also sibling discounts and Bring a Friend discount of $50.
Williams said the best way to sign up is to visit their web page and click the Register Online link.
"This will save the child's spot," Williams explained. "Then, they can email, fax or drop off their child's medical form, shot records, and payment at their convenience."
