Children's Musical "Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids" Features Young Theater Veterans

This summer the Harborfest Children’s Musical "Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids" will bring a classic tale to life with a cast of area youth many of whom have become theater veterans over the last several years.

Quite a few of the cast members in the current production have appeared in past Harborfest Children’s Musical productions including Dan Emmons, Emma Deloff, Megan Samson, Sydney Osborn, Sean Metcalf, Emma Deloff, Avery Farfaglia, Emily Kerst, and Haily Barbeau.

In addition other cast members have been featured in past productions of other area theater companies including APW, Fulton, Hannibal, Mexico and Oswego schools, Oswego Opera Theater, CNY Arts, CNY Playhouse, Syracuse Children's Theater, and Oswego Players. These include Renee Scott, Sean Metcalf, Max Clarke, Cameron D'angelo, Lana Hsu, Deena Mcdougal, Ben Norton, Seth Paglioroli, Alexa Prosser Alexandra Reith and Lena Williams.

The latest cast features several new faces including Odin Mosher, Amelia Wentworth, Wesley Elsner, Ethan D'Angelo, Elvie Kells, Ella Woolworth, Nolan Verberg, Althea Sawyer, Nina King, Natalie Bartlett, Leo Jones, Lee-Ann Hoisen, Issac Kearns, Lena Williams, Kiyarah Bragg, Thomas Rolfe, Ellie Laird, Arianna Jones, Sophia Syrell, Olive Mosher, Elliot Jones, Noah Kearns, Ethan Mosher, Casey Partlow, Tabitha O'Connor, Layne Osborn, Tatum Shambo, Zachary Fox, Gabriella Bartlett, Olivia Emmons, Peyton Giles, Mackenzie Mucahey, Alisa Busuladzic, Josie Metcalf, and Aislinn Osborn, Nathan Carr, Sage Osborn, Dylan Elsner, Trevor Griffiths, Anna Bartholomew, Ava Steinfeld, Grace Syrell, Ava Greeney, Kaitlynn Cayer, Shelby Stevens, Austynn Milone-Grinnell, and Alexa Bell.

Disney's 101 Dalmatian Kids is based on the 1956 children’s novel by Dodie Smith. The story was adapted for the stage by Marcy Heisler, with music by Brian Smith, Dan Root, Martin Lee Fuller, Mel Leven, Randy Rogel, and Richard Gibbs; Lyrics by Marcy Heisler, Brian Smith, Dan Root, Martin Lee Fuller, Mel Leven, Randy Rogel, and Richard Gibbs; and the music for the show was adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle. The Show is produced by special arrangement with Music Theater International.

The Children's Musical has been a traditional part of Harborfest for several years, being produced and directed by former Oswego City School Music Teachers Roxanne Farden and Roberta Palange. With their retirement the Staff of the Oswego Children's Theater takes over the production, with Director, Lyndsie Lee Jones and Music Director, Kenneth C. Jones. Assisted by Wayne Mosher Jr. with Kelly Mosher on Costumes. The show will presented several times during the Festival weekend on the Children's Stage at West Park. Harborfest is one of the few admission-free music festivals in the country. It was founded with the mission of creating nationally recognized festivals and events that attract and engage a broad and diverse audience, celebrate and build community, and advance economic development in Oswego, New York.
