Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Ward Pepper and Ina Belle LeVere.
He worked as a Union Carpenter for the Local 747 for 35 years. He was a carpenter by trade but a true Jack of All Trades who could fix anything.
He worked as foreman supervisor on construction jobs including Nine Mile Stream Station, Sythe, and other various job sites.
He enjoyed deer hunting and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Shaw) Pepper; a daughter, Donna Buskey of Oswego; three sons, Michael (Patty) Martin, of Florida; Kenneth Pepper of Oswego; Donald (Shannon) Pepper of Oswego; his brothers, Ward (Rose) Pepper, of Oswego; Kenneth (Barb) Pepper of Brewerton; Nelson Pepper of Fulton; sisters, Leona LaRock, and Pat Brockett; seven grandchildren, Kristy and Mindy Buskey, Allison Martin, Casie Lytle, Korey, Nicholas, and Brandon Pepper; and several nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased by his sister Shirley Warren.
Calling hours will be held Thursday 3-6 pm with a service to follow at 6 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego, NY.
Burial will be held in the Spring in Peck’s Cemetery.
