EJ, a global manufacturer and distributor of construction castings and other infrastructure products, headquartered in East Jordan, Michigan, conducted groundbreaking ceremonies for its new, state-of-the-art, fabrication facility in Schroeppel, New York.

The Company will move equipment and employees from their current site in Cicero, New York where they manufacture, assemble and distribute products in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

The new operation, located at the Oswego County Industrial Park, will utilize state-of-the-art technologies in manufacturing, safety and environmental, while allowing the Company the ability to better serve its markets and loyal customer base.

"A couple years ago, we began looking for a new site. Retention of our employees and staying in the state of New York were key to the site selection," stated Tracy Malpass, President of EJ. "Fortunately, we found a site within a 15-minute drive of our current location, which will be the new home for our fabrication facility. We know we have an excellent site and location to attract the talent and creativity we need, to successfully design, manufacture, and distribute our EJ product lines."

EJ, the County of Oswego Industrial Development Agency, Operation Oswego County, Empire State Development and National Grid have been working with state and local officials to see the project come to fruition.
EJ has two iron foundries, several steel fabrication plants, and over twenty sales and distribution facilities in the United States. EJ has established a strong brand presence in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific by providing high quality products that meet specific local requirements throughout the world.

The Company broke ground for construction in Spring of 2018, with full production anticipated in Spring of 2019.
