Late autumn into winter is a wonderful time to become acquainted with avian friends who share all our seasons of the year. A slide presentation will introduce the real snowbirds - local songbirds that endure the rigors of winter with us and brighten the season with their color, calls, and foraging behaviors. Habitat, foraging techniques, as well as feeder and seed preferences will be covered with samples provided to take home for your yard and birds. Be sure to dress warmly; following the indoor program, enjoy the crisp autumn air with naturalist Pat Carney for a wander along the woodland trails, looking and listening for feathered friends
