The Oswego State field hockey team's perfect start to the season came to an end at Marywood University on Friday afternoon.

  • Result: Marywood 7, Oswego 1
  • Location: Pacers Field – Scranton, Pa.
  • Records: Marywood (4-1)  |  Oswego (3-1)

  • After two goals by Marywood in a 1:08 span, Oswego countered, cutting the deficit in half.
  • Katie Reynolds scored what proved to be the Lakers' lone goal of the day by lifting a ball over the keeper from 12-yards out at 19:03.
  • The senior's tally was her fifth of the year, tying freshman Alyssa DeMichael for the team lead on the year.
  • Reynolds' goal was also her 12th point of the year, which places in the top spot for Oswego.
  • The Pacers added another goal 17 seconds later and notched four in the second half to arrive at the final score.
  • Sophomore Joanna Christman accumulated a career-high 12 saves in the outing, despite suffering the first loss of her collegiate tenure.
  • The Lakers' four shots on-goal came from Reynolds (2), DeMichael (1) and Emily Conklin (1).

Oswego will look to rebound with a nonconference home tilt when Nazareth College visits campus at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
