The Oswego State men's cross country team had a fifth-place showing at the University of Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday morning. Oswego finished ahead of 12 other teams in the 17-team field.

Colin Greenseich led the Lakers in the meet, crossing the finish line with a fourth place finish out of more than 200 runners. The senior clocked a time of 26:17.7 which equates to a mile pace of 6:42.2.

Greenseich was followed by a trio of junior teammates, starting with Dylan McCarthy. McCarthy placed 27th with a time of 27:13.4. Classmate Nick LeClair was a little more than four seconds behind McCarthy with the timer showing 27:17.8. The final junior of the trio was Tim Olmsted with a time of 27:45.9.

Oswego will now have a week off as it prepares for the SUNYAC Championship, which will be hosted by Potsdam at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.
