Jennie M. Miner, 92, a resident of Oswego passed away on December 31 at the Morningstar Care Center.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Grybyte) Bendzunas and was a graduate of the Oswego High School.

She was the crossing guard at Mrs. Miner’s Corner at East Eighth and Bunner Street for Riley School for many years

She was also a seamstress who sewed and altered dresses for clients.

Mrs. Miner enjoyed sewing, knitting, square dancing, gardening, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, camping and crafts.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane (John) Keiffer of Canandaigua, Margaret (Brian) Kocher of Scriba and a granddaughter, Erika Kocher of NYC.

She was predeceased by husband, James Miner, daughter, Mary Patricia Cole, brothers Frank, George,and Felix Bendzunas,her half sister in Lithuania, Vincenta and son in law, James Cole.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and fun loving spirit. Many generations of people will remember her affectionately from their childhood school days and also for seeing Mrs. Miner at Mrs. Miner’s Corner.

A Memorial funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 from St.Paul's Church.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the Oswego County Humane Society, 29 West Seneca Street, Oswego, N.Y. 13126
