The Oswego State volleyball team has released its 2018 schedule. This year, the Lakers will host 10 games in Max Ziel Gymnasium, including two tournaments.

Oswego's slate opens at the Morrisville Tournament on Sept. 1. The Lakers face D'Youville College and MIT on Saturday before facing Hartwick College and Penn St.-Behrend to end the tourney on Sunday.

The volleyball's first home game will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5 against Cazenovia College. That Friday, the Lakers travel to Vassar College for its tournament. Friday pits Oswego versus the host before playing University of New England and Scranton University on Saturday.

Volleyball then hosts its Oswego State Invitational the following Friday and Saturday. The Lakers compete against SUNY Canton and D'Youville on the first day and close the invitational with Elmira College and St. Lawrence University on Saturday.

Oswego remains home for a mid-week match with Keuka College, beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Conference action then starts with a pool play at Potsdam. On Friday, the Lakers face Oneonta before getting Geneseo and the host Bears the next day. Another mid-week home game will follow with Clarkson on Wednesday, Sept. 26. That nonconference matchup will be a tune up for the second pool play, this time traveling to New Paltz after a weekend off.

At New Paltz, Oswego begins with Fredonia on Friday night then opens Saturday with the host Hawks before ending with Plattsburgh.

After another middle of the week nonconference tilt, this time with Nazareth College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 – Oswego will host a quad. St. John Fisher College, Union College and Oneonta will visit campus on Oct. 12 and 13.

Oswego's final pool play will take place at Brockport, opening with Buffalo State on Friday, Oct. 19. The SUNYAC schedule concludes with Brockport and Cortland on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the Lakers travel to Aurora, N.Y. to face Wells College. The regular season wraps on Saturday, Oct. 27 as the squad heads to Utica, N.Y. to take part in SUNY Poly's Triangular. Oswego will face the Wildcats at 11 a.m. before ending the campaign with Alfred University at 1 p.m.

The postseason is set to start with the SUNYAC Championship, whose quarterfinal round is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30. All match times are available on the full schedule link.
