The book signing will be part of the museum’s annual “Christmas at Sea” program.
Germain has written and illustrated her third children’s book centering around her four guinea pigs and her hometown of Oswego entitled “Squeakers, Whiskers, and Their Lighthouse Adventure.” The story revolves around her guinea pigs Great-grandfather Squeakers and Great-uncle Whiskers who help the West Pierhead Lighthouse acquire it’s Fresnel Lens in 1934 so that the lighthouse could light the way for lake travelers and later become the primary, beloved icon of Oswego.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the museum in-an-effort to support their on-going mission of education and appreciation of Oswego’s Historic Maritime District.
Germain is the author of three other books, “A Common View – With Affection, Hope, and Humor – Reflections on the Port City of Central New York,” “Kirby’s Krazy Karrot Kaper,” and “A Piggily Poo Christmas.”
