Paul A. Forestiere, II, executive director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, discussed the importance of teaching young people about county government at the Oswego County Legislature’s May meeting.

Government Day is one of many programs offered to county youth by the agency. It provides students with the opportunity to tour government offices; learn about debate strategies and conduct a mock debate; and actively participate in a real legislative session with their representative.
