More than 110 animal lovers came to the Oswego County Humane Society’s Fur Ball on April 28th to celebrate their love for animals and to support the programs of the Humane Society.

The event included music by Larry Kyle of Dam Dog, a wine and beer tasting sponsored by Eagle Beverage Corp., dinner provided by the American Foundry, music by Millennium Music and a silent and live auction, with Tom Ciappa volunteering as auctioneer. Corporate supporters of the event included Wiltsie Construction, the Shanley Law Offices, Sunoco/Ethanol, Fruit Valley Veterinary Clinic, the Fulton Companies, Dynegy/Independence, K-9 Grooming & Pet Motel, the Oswego Printing Company, Pathfinder Bank, Fulton Savings, Community Bank, J & A Mechanical, the Nelson Law Firm, and Laborers’ Local 633.

The winner of the Fur Ball Photo Contest was Ashley Miner with her photo of Triton and Little Beyoncé, both rescue pets. She received a gift certificate for a pet photo session donated by Nature’s Palette Photography Art. Her pets will appear on the front cover of the Humane Society’s 2019 People and Pets Are Good for Each Other calendar.

The Humane Society raised more than $15,000 with the event, funds that can be used to support Humane Society spay/neuter and rescue and adoption programs.
