The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presents a proclamation recognizing Agriculture Literacy Week to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County.

As local farmers provide more and varied products to grocery stores, farm stands and farmers’ markets, it becomes increasingly important for people to understand how food gets from the farm to the table.

Volunteers throughout the state will promote this agricultural literacy by reading books and conducting hands-on lessons with agricultural themes to second grade students during the week of March 19 to 23.
