“We are excited to be able to bring these events to our community,” said Leanna Cleveland, Coordinator of Community Health at Oswego County Opportunities. “We surveyed our community and evaluated responses, and as result we hope to share the most requested information and resources in a fun and informative format, making it available across our county.”
The events, “Senior Roadshows”, will take place on June 12, 13 and 14, and feature area providers who will be sharing resources focusing on nutritional education, health/wellness needs, financial information, and medical resources available locally. Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch, courtesy of The Oswego County Office for the Aging funded by Federal and State grants through the New York State Office for the Aging and by Oswego County government.
Each event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., is free of charge and open to the public. Each venue will feature a different assortment of vendors/providers and activities; folks are welcome to attend any or all of the events! About Caring Community Advocates – Caring Community Advocates is a group of area service providers working under the auspices of the Oswego County Rural Health Network. Recently to group conducted a survey campaign to identify what was important to the aging population in regards to social needs, nutritional education, health/wellness needs, financial information, and medical resources.
