Expectant mothers can learn the benefits of breastfeeding at a community breastfeeding shower to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17th at Oswego Hospital’s JPC conference room.

Women who are breastfeeding for the first time or those who plan to breastfeed are encouraged to attend this free event coordinated by the Oswego County Breastfeeding Coalition. This is an opportunity to learn more about the advantages of breastfeeding. There will be information, free gifts and food.

To register, please contact Mary Ellen at 315-343-1311.

The goal of the Coalition is to increase the awareness of the support services available to mothers in Oswego County. Among the event sponsors are Oswego Health, Mother Earth Baby, Oswego County Opportunities, REACH CNY and Cornell Cooperative Extension.
