Oswego's season begins with its bi-annual Max Ziel Tournament, featuring teams from Elmira College, SUNY Purchase and SUNY Poly. The Lakers open with Elmira at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16 with the consolation and championship games taking place at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, respectively.
Those two tilts puts a six-game home stand in motion, with games three and four in the stretch happening on back-to-back Tuesdays. On Nov. 20, Clarkson University visits Max Ziel Gymnasium at 5:30 p.m. while Nazareth comes in seven days later.
The final day of November and first day of December closes the home stand but begins SUNYAC action. Geneseo visits campus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with Brockport traveling to Oswego at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Oswego's first road trip will be in Western New York when it heads to Buffalo State on Dec. 7 and Fredonia on Dec. 8. The Lakers then return home for its final game on campus in 2018, hosting St. Lawrence University at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14.
After a brief break for the holidays, Oswego makes a journey south to Atlanta, Ga. and Emory University. Emory is hosting a classic on Dec. 29 and 30 that sees the Lakers face the host Eagles followed by Denison University for their last nonconference matchups of the season.
Oswego's first battle of the New Year is on Tuesday, Jan. 8 when New Paltz treks to the Port City. That Saturday has the Lakers heading down to Cortland before going to Oneonta on Jan. 15.
The Lakers then host consecutive conference weekends, with Plattsburgh and Potsdam coming to Oswego first on Jan. 18 and 19, respectively. Fredonia and Buffalo State will come to Ziel gym the next weekend.
Oswego will play five of its last seven games on the road, starting with a midweek trip to New Paltz on Jan. 29. The Red Dragons of Cortland visit on Feb. 2 before the Lakers travel to the North Country to face Potsdam and Plattsburgh on Feb. 8 and 9.
Oneonta will represent Oswego's final regular season home game on Tuesday, Feb. 12. That weekend, the Lakers wrap the regular season with a game at Brockport on Feb. 15 and Geneseo on Feb. 16.
All weekday conference games begin at 7:30 p.m. while league contests on Saturday start at 4 p.m.
Postseason play is set to begin with the SUNYAC Championship, with first round tilts scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19.
