Oswego State Downtown to Display Paintings, Drawings in 'Connected by Line'

Oswego State Downtown will present a free exhibition Feb. 2 to March 23 titled "Connected by Line," featuring recent paintings and drawings inspired by the personal narratives of SUNY Oswego alumni and artists Emily Floyd and Katie Burke.

A free public reception will take place as part of the college's Downtown Artist Series from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the downtown gallery and branch of the College Store, corner of West First and Bridge streets. At 6 p.m., students Joseph Sigurdson, a poet and creative writing major, and artist Amanda Gordon, majoring in graphic design, will react in their respective genres to the work of Burke and Floyd.

Oswego State Downtown is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
