"OsweGO Sundays" Gets Off to a Great Start!

More than 500 people, more than 40 Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles and more than 30 Vendors filled West 1st Street and the Pathfinder Bank parking lot on West 2nd Street, downtown this past Sunday as local musician John McConnell provided a free concert as part of the "OsweGO Sundays" Campaign.

Overwhelming positive comments for all involved to the quality and success of the event were heard throughout the day and have appeared on Social Media.

Anne Backer, owner of Taste the World Specialty Foods and Coffees in the Canal Commons who created and organized the classic, antique and muscle car, truck and motorcycle rally said; "We couldn't be more pleased and want to Thank everyone who participated by bringing their vehicles out and who showed up to support this free event."

Linda DeMassi, Port City Co-Op manager and creator of the outdoor Flea Market in Pathfinder Bank's parking lot had similar thoughts; " We are thrilled, two of our Vendors sold out of everything they had! People were great. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event the success it was."

"OsweGO Sundays" provides family friendly free events on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the months of May, June and July. The next scheduled "OsweGO Sunday" which will again feature; "Mugs & Motors – Car, Truck and Motorcycle Rally" and the Port City CoOp Flea Market is Sunday May 17 with the Flea Market open from 12-5PM and the Rally 1-4PM. Music for the May 17th event will be provided Dave Domicolo and underwritten by Fred's Auto Parts.
