Roberta Raby Bond, 72, a resident of Route 104 in the Village of New Haven, passed away Thursday, at The Manor at Seneca Hill in Volney.

Roberta was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Helen (McCarthy) Raby.

She was a graduate of Erie Community College.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed, for many years, as a secretary with the Mexico, NY School District.

She was an avid quilter, and was a member of the Mexicali Quilters.

Roberta was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Oswego.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Theodore D. Bond of New Haven, her daughter, Rebecca (Eric) Mitchell of Clay, her son, Matthew (Holly) Bond of Canandaigua; a brother, Frederick “Ted” (Dorianda) Raby of Baldwinsville; two sisters, Judy Conley of Oswego, and Tecia (Gary Cotton) Raby Oswego; and four grandchildren, Madison Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Alison Bond, and Griffin Bond.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Monday in St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 Sunday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.

Roberta’s family would like to thank all of the 2nd floor staff at The Manor at Seneca Hill, for their wonderful care and kindness.
