Roy A. Bailey, 70, died August 7, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Oswego, NY, he was the son of Chuck Bailey of Oswego, and the late Bernice (Woods) Bailey.

He was a US Marine veteran having served in Vietnam.

He worked as a Supervisor for Armstrong Corps.

Many memories were made with his family and friends while Roy shared his enthusiasm of racing, fishing and hunting.

Surviving besides his father, are his wife, Lillie Mae; daughters Theresa Bailey of Oswego; Brandy Lagasse, of Port Clinton, OH; his sons, Roy Bailey of San Diego, CA; Jason (Andrea) Bailey, of Oswego; a step-daughter, Rhonda (Darrell) Knechtly, of Oswego; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought great joy to his life.

He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Bailey, step-daughter Julie Smith, grandson Tae Smith and granddaughter Chyanne Bailey.

Calling hours will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday, August 12th, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery, Scriba.
