Oswego earned its nine points by way of three decisions. Its first decision came from Troy Seymour in the 165-pound weight class. The sophomore recorded an early take down in the first period and that was all he would need. Seymour was able negotiate the final two periods masterfully, registering the 2-0 decision over Ithaca's Al Ciccitto.
The Lakers made it two-straight weight class wins as Trevor Hoffmier captured the 174-pound bout. Hoffmier scored a 7-4 decision behind two takedowns for four points, two escapes for a pair of tallies and the sophomore was awarded a penalty point for an infraction against opponent Nick Vogel.
Oswego's last win came in the very next weight class for back-to-back-to-back victories. Freshman sensation Jordan Bushey downed Jake Ashcraft 8-4 in the 184-pound tilt. Bushey – ranked No. 6 nationally in his weight class – earned three takedowns for six points, escaped for another point and was awarded a point for riding time following the conclusion of the bout.
On the year, Bushey remains a perfect 12-0 while Seymour improves to 14-5 and Hoffmier moves to 7-2.
