The public is invited to come explore nature at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center on Thursday mornings this summer.

The Center will be offering family-oriented morning activities on Thursdays, July 5th, 19th, 26th, and August 2nd, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Participants can get outside before the sun (and temperatures) get high. They will walk the trails, splash through the creek, and learn more about the plants and animals that call the nature center home. There will be lots of hands-on activities and a take-home project each day.

The program fee for each day is only $4.00 per person, $12.00 per family, and children under 3 are free. Families can come for just one day or all four. Adults and children should dress for a summer morning tromp in the woods: bug spray and shoes that can get wet or muddy are recommended. Pre-registration is requested. Call 315-963-7286 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., to save your space.

Amboy 4-H Environmental Educational Center is located on State Route 183, between Routes 13 and 69 in eastern Oswego County. For information about the facility and its programming, call the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County 4-H Office at 315 963 7286. Cornell Cooperative Extension is an employer and educator recognized for valuing AA/EEO, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities and provides equal program and employment opportunities.
