Part of the show is a display of Ms. Beason’s personal collection of original drawings by well-known comic artists from her days at Marvel Comics, where she was assistant editor to high-profile comics such as Spider-Man and X-Men.
Also on exhibit will be original prints and drawings from her current work as a graduate student in SUNY Oswego’s Master of Arts program in Studio Arts. This includes both figurative work and highly abstract explorations of color, shape and texture.
The reception for this exhibition is free and open to the public.Refreshments will be served. The exhibition will run until Sunday,August 27th. Regular gallery hours are from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sundays or by appointment. Group tours can be arranged.
The Art Association of Oswego is located at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego, directly across from historic Fort Ontario.
