Despite hosting nearly half of its game, the women's soccer team will begin the season with three-straight road contests. On Aug. 31, the Lakers will travel to Newton, Mass. to face Lasell College at 1p.m. The following Friday, Oswego heads to the Fredonia Tournament, where it will face Grove City College at 1 p.m. on the first day before playing D'Youville College at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Oswego's home opener will be Friday, Sept. 14 against Clarkson University before hosting another school from the north in St. Lawrence University at 1 p.m. the next day. The Lakers will trek southwest to the University of Rochester at 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 as a final tune-up for the SUNYAC schedule.
A single-game opens the league matchups, as Cortland visits campus on Saturday, Sept. 22. Oswego remains at home the next weekend as it hosts New Paltz on Friday and Oneonta on Saturday.
The squad then embarks on a five-game road trek, the first four counting towards its SUNYAC record. October 5 and 6 will be spent at Plattsburgh and Potsdam, respectively. The Lakers then head west to face Buffalo State on Oct. 12 and Fredonia the next afternoon. Oswego's five-game journey concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 16 when it faces the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton at 5 p.m.
To close the regular season, the Lakers will have home-field advantage, starting with Brockport at 3 p.m. on Oct. 19. SUNYAC games wind down with Geneseo on Oct. 20 before ending the season with a nonconference tilt with Hamilton College at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Friday conference games begin at 4 p.m., with the exception of Brockport on Oct. 19. All Saturday league games begin at 1 p.m.
Postseason action is scheduled to begin with the SUNYAC Championship quarterfinals on Oct. 27.
